New Case Studies: Tonkatsu Narikura and Baisa Nakamura

What two craft-driven Japanese brands look for in an overseas partner, and how TableBridge works with them.

TableBridge, operated by Office Felicidad, Inc., has added two Japanese brands to the case study section of its website: Tonkatsu Narikura and Baisa Nakamura.

Brands built on craftsmanship and tradition care deeply about consistency and about choosing the right partner overseas. These case studies show what that looks like in practice.

The case studies

Tonkatsu Narikura (Asagaya, Tokyo) — known for its unique “rare katsu”, developed over more than 15 years. TableBridge has studied the brand’s techniques and philosophy and works on partner screening, reproducibility testing and contract design.

Baisa Nakamura (Kyoto / Tokyo) — a brand that conveys Japanese tea culture to today’s audiences. TableBridge supports its overseas sales expansion, looking for partners who will share Japanese tea as culture rather than a trend.

What this means for operators

Licensing a Japanese brand is about more than the contract: it means understanding what the brand cares about and agreeing on how it will run in your market. Our CEO described TableBridge’s role as translating the value that brand owners have built over their lifetimes into a system that people around the world can enjoy.
